“Mind: A Waterfall or Lazy-River?”

While doing the "Meeting Asciepius" I chose to view Jesus, He is the only person I choose meditate on.  He is my healer, my teacher, my savoir and my friend.  I choose to love my neighbor and my enemies as he tell us to and walk as he walk in love.  Most days I try to begin my day with this meditation just before I’m fully awake and at the end of my day, right before I go to sleep.  I have found that in doing this my day and sleep are much more peaceful.  And I tend to be less hateful to those around me, because if Jesus loves me and I choose to walk as He walked…I must learn to forgive and love other as well.

Mindfulness has fostered a great calming effect on my whole person.  I’m much less crabby and judgmental of others and I’m a much more giving person.  I can now give more to others because I have more to give because I can never give more than Jesus has given to me.

How can I show someone else how to get to the place of love, and peace if I haven’t been there?  If I have never been sad, lost, unhappy, how could I relate to those who are going through these things.  I know that in my profession as a Health and Wellness life coach I will be able to help other with weight issues because I’ve been there, I can help people with a lot of mental issues because I know where their coming from.
Thanks,
Darlene

  1. I feel the same way that you do, if a person has not experienced hardships in lfe how can they understand what others are going through and help them out. I find it hard to take advice from people that have nor experienced what I have or have had similar struggles in their lives.
